WEL 363 (Industrial Attachment – Workplace Experience Learning) III

The aim of the course is to equip students with enhanced practical knowledge and skills in the fashion and textile industry. Students shall necessarily be placed in areas suitable for apprenticeship as trainees from an academic fashion training institute.  The objective of this placement shall be to correct their deficiencies, polish and equip them with the relevant skills that they require for their levels of training. The major activities of their training shall therefore, include, exposure to various modern tools and equipment, various raw materials, high quality garment design and construction processes, fashion illustration, good finishing, quality control processes, management practices, entrepreneurial practices, and operation of different types of machinery, especially those with Computer-aided and digital processing.
