This course equips students with enhanced knowledge
and skills in operating the computer as a drawing, designing and presentation
tool. This will also enable students to perform various tasks using a
combination of software programmes such as Word, Photoshop, and PowerPoint and
specialised software for fashion/textile CAD activities.
The
students will be able to:
1. Take
photographs of their works, scan and store them electronically.
2. Manipulate shapes and images into more complex and abstract ones.
3. Perform tasks using Word, Photoshop and PowerPoint.Topics
to be covered in this course will include:
- Analyse
the contemporary software and identify tools that perform similar functions in
Photoshop and PowerPoint e.g., text, crop, etc.
- Combine
text with images for desirable effects
- Creating fashion/textile designs with the computer.
This course will be implemented through lectures,
discussions, and practical exercises which will be conducted in a laboratory
setting. There will also be research topics and assignments to be delivered by
