The course involves experimentation and practical lessons that bring to the attention of students the fact that metal is the principal material used in the making of jewellery but not an exclusive material.

This is a laboratory course for introducing students into the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, stationary machinery, chemicals and other equipment used at the jewellery workshop.
